Plan your incredible adventure

Design an bespoke activity day or overnight stay for your unit. We offer a flexible approach and can take the hassle out of your trip. From a week of self-catering, back to basics camping to a single night catered stay indoors, we can meet the needs of your girls and your budget.

Why not ask us how we can support you to bring your girls without a Going Away With licence?

We can make camps easier to run by providing all the equipment you need. And don’t forget our huge range of onsite activities, something for all budgets, including instructor and self-led options. Contact the centres and find out what we can do for you.

County and large camps made easy

We have acres of land perfect for a camp to remember, set in stunning locations. Large scale is no problem – our sites have multiple spacious campsites.

Make your planning easier with our onsite activities. We have a great range on offer, with experienced instructors on site, and our whole team is on hand to help you as much as you need. And when you need to feed a field full of hungry campers, we can help. We have excellent on-site catering teams and work with great tried and tested external caterers.

Your own training weekend

£92.50 per person

Join us for your County training weekend at either Foxlease or Waddow Hall. Weekends are £92.50 per person and include two nights accommodation in shared bedrooms, two breakfasts, light lunches and evening meals, unlimited tea and coffee and use of training rooms and training equipment. We can help you find trainers for your weekend, and cover their travel expenses. 24 hour and self-catering options are also available.

We offer 10 £50 grants for each training weekend from our training bursary. Contact the relevant activity centre to find out more.

What a lovely venue, lovely accommodation and staff. It’s so peaceful here and full of feelings of happiness and achievements. All our Brownies want to go back again.

Grants for leader training

We have bursaries available to support leaders attending the activity centres. Contact the relevant activity centre to apply.

New leaders training bursary

When you complete your leadership qualification, your county will give you a £25 voucher towards any Girlguiding training at a national activity centre (Blackland Farm, Foxlease, ICANDO or Waddow Hall) or at a regional activity centre (Broneirion, Hautbois, Lorne or Netherurd).

Adult leader training bursary

Counties can claim £50 per leader, for up to ten leaders, for county training weekends held at one of the national activity centres. And we have some leader training events supported by the bursary. For example our Leaders Essentials Training at Waddow Hall. These are reduced by £50.

Friends of Waddow bursary

The Friends of Waddow offer a bursary for leaders to cover the full cost of attending any training or event at Waddow Hall that helps to develop a leader’s skills. This training can be organised by Waddow Hall or by a local county or region.
