Key information
- For Rainbows and Leaders
- Arrival: You can arrive on site any time after 6pm on Friday 21 April 2023
- Departure: Our sleepover will finish at 3pm on Saturday 22 April 2023
- Rainbows should eat a meal before arriving. A light supper will be provided in the evening, breakfast and a picnic type lunch
- One free leader per unit ratio, additional leaders charged at the standard rate
- Your kit list should include: hot water bottle, sleeping bag, pillow, lots of layers, hat, clothes, wash kit and towel, waterproof and wellies/boots
- No Licence required
- You will need to ensure you have completed the required Girlguiding forms for this event e.g. information and consent form, health information form etc – find out more
- A Residential Event Notification (REN) form will need to be completed for your local commissioner – find out more
- Shop visit included
Please note:
- Leader ratios of 1:4 must be maintained
- All Rainbows must be accompanied by a leader from their own unit, and the volunteers coming as part of the accompanying leadership team must be known to the unit leader
- Rooms for Rainbows to sleep in will be allocated to specific units, with no sharing between units
- Leaders may be required to share rooms with leaders from a different unit (all accommodation is bunks)
- House will have 10 bottom bunks and 10 top bunks available for Rainbows
- Derwent will have 12 bottom bunks and 12 top bunks available for Rainbows
- It is recommended that no child under the age of 6 sleeps on a top bunk without parental permission, please take this into account when booking
- Glenbrook should be close enough for a parent to collect their child should the need arise

Can I volunteer at this event?
