We have campsites suitable for everyone – from experienced outdoor lovers to those who’ve never pitched a tent before. Whatever your needs, we have a site to suit you.
Our tented village
If it’s your first time camping out, or you just want to spend more of your time on activities than putting up tents, you might want to try our tented village. You can sleep under canvas in our permanent structures, allowing you to just turn up and get stuck straight into all the activities on site.
The five ready-pitched tents each sleep eight people and are built on wooden platforms protecting you from the ground. We have additional tents, a dining shelter and a small hut available if you need them. Come rain or shine, the tented village is ready and waiting for you.
Our campsites
All our campsites can be booked either equipped or unequipped.
Equipped camping includes access to a lockable shelter with verandah, basic catering equipment, fridge, water boiler and electricity, along with access to showers and toilets.
Unequipped camping includes access to the toilets and showers, but not access to the hut and its facilities
North Riding
North Riding is a large, flat site conveniently situated closest to the shower and toilet block.
Hilltop
As the name suggests, our Hilltop site has stunning views across towards Waddington village and beyond.
Firth’s Fell
This is a small unequipped site with access to a hut and electricity. We’ve found it to be perfect for smaller groups or Duke of Edinburgh camps.
Horseshoe
Horseshoe is a convenient and flat site nearest our gate.
Wades Hill
Set back from the other sites, the area of Wades Hill is believed to have been used by the Anglo-Saxon Chief Wadda. Wades Hill has amazing panoramic views across the Ribble Valley.
Dogwood – open all year
In addition to the equipped sites we have one large unequipped site, Dogwood, which has a water tap nearby. Equipment can be provided for you on this site if you book in advance.
Many guests book Ribble Lodge to use as indoor accommodation in conjunction with this site.
Bothy Site – open all year
The Bothy is a small unequipped campsite with a traditional Bothy shelter.
General information
Our six main campsites are open from late March to mid-October and the smaller campsites are open all year.
We have a laundry service available on site, but you need to bring your own washing powder. We do charge per wash load.
Accessibility
We do have an accessible tent in the tented village and an accessible wash, though we do recommend you visit the site before booking for any guests with disabilities
