The Friends of Foxlease community

Foxlease is so much more than a building – albeit a very interesting and special one.  It’s set in its own area of the New Forest which gives us the privilege of feeling at home here, whether camping, visiting for a day or staying in Princess Mary House or one of the self-catering buildings.

Friends support Foxlease in various ways, such as fundraising for specific projects, volunteering in the Foxlease shop, gardening and helping to run special events.

Dates for your diary

  • Friends Annual Meeting and break – Friday 1 July to Sunday 3 or Monday 4 July. Choose from a two or three night break or just come for the Annual Meeting day on Saturday 2 July.  Further information will be available in the February 2022 Friends Newsletter.
  • Celebrate the Centenary! – Re-live your memories of Foxlease through heritage sessions, pageantry, crafts, and activities with a good dose of fun and laughter.   Come for the full event from 15 – 25 August 2022 or shorter breaks are possible arriving on 19 or 22 August.

In addition to these events, Foxlease hosts a number of events for members and non-members throughout the year.  You can find out more about these, and in particular the special centenary events, by visiting the events calendar.

Join us

Our Friends are made up of Girlguiding leaders, Trefoil members, supporters, volunteers and all who have a love of this special place.  Many have enjoyed visits to Foxlease and want to help ensure it continues to provide adventures for many years to come.  We would love you to join us in this endeavour.

Regular newsletters are sent out to Friends with updates from the Foxlease management team, news of events and details of mid-week leisure breaks.

Find out more about what we do on the Friends of Foxlease website and our Friends Facebook Page.

You can become a Friend for an annual subscription – or why not ask us about becoming a Life Member?

Volunteering at Foxlease

Foxlease FIRST volunteers (Fit – Interested – Ready to Serve – Team)

Volunteers provide practical help in a huge variety of ways, such as:

  • helping in the Foxlease Guiding shop
  • becoming a Hostess to help guests enjoy their stay
  • working in the garden

We’d love you to join us! To become a volunteer,  contact and your details will be forwarded to our Volunteer Co-ordinator. Membership of Friends is not a pre-requisite – you can still volunteer.
