Payment information

Payment information can be found in our terms and conditions.

Shop

The onsite shop will be open on request. The shop sells snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and basic conveniences. You can pay by card or cash and a queuing system will operate, so please follow any signs.

Drinking water

All water on our site is drinking water.

Rubbish, recycling and glass

You will need to provide your own black sacks for rubbish and dispose of them using the onsite refuse and recycling facilities at the main entrance. Information will be provided on arrival. We support sustainable practices at Blackland Farm by being as eco-friendly as possible. Please help us to continue this work during your stay.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings on site. There is a designated smoking area – please ask for this on check-in, if required. Smoking is permitted on the campsites, but we ask that cigarette ends are only disposed of via the appropriate bins available on site and not thrown on the floor. This is particularly important during periods of hot weather, when the ground will be very dry.

Alcohol

We are a family site, so whilst you are permitted to consume alcohol, we ask you to please be respectful of other families. We have the right to ask anyone to leave if their behaviour is not appropriate for a family environment.

Glass

We ask that you please keep glass to a minimum around the grounds. Should there be any breakages, the glass needs to be collected and disposed of in an appropriate way. All glass should be recycled in the recycle bin.

Noise

Music should not be heard beyond the boundaries of your area and we ask that you please be respectful to other residents. Following our licence terms, we operate a quiet site from 10pm – 8am.

Dogs

Dogs are permitted on the campsites and should be kept on a lead wherever possible. Owners must respect other campers that may be scared or allergic to dogs and responsibly clear up any mess around the site, disposing of it in onsite bins. Dogs are not permitted in any of the onsite buildings. Should you need to bring an assistance dog, please email blackland@girlguiding.org.uk

Campfires and BBQs

Disposable BBQs on or with stands are permitted on the campsites. Hard ground is available for you to use where possible, or place the BBQ on top of an altar fire.

Vehicles on site

There is a 5mph speed limit on site. Please observe this at all times. Vehicles are permitted onto the grass pitch areas in the spring/summer periods.

First Aid

During your visit you will be primarily responsible for the first aid of your group. If you need support, please phone the duty mobile on 07808 642503 and a member of the team will talk you through the first aid required (if applicable). Should the incident be more serious, we will support in whatever way we are able to, but you must contact the emergency services before notifying the duty manager. You will need to give the address (Blackland Farm Activity Centre, Grinstead Lane, East Grinstead RH19 4HP), the name of the accommodation you are in, or your location on the site.

We have a defibrillator on site; this is located on the left hand wall of the main office.
