At Blackland Farm, we pride ourselves on providing a safe experience for all our customers. We want all our visitors to experience the fun of new activities, with the reassurance that they’re in safe hands.

One of the ways we show our commitment to safety is by meeting additional, external safety standards.  As you can see from our list of licences and accreditations, you’ll be in safe hands at Blackland Farm.

Adventure Activities Licensing Scheme (AALS)

This is a government-sponsored scheme that licences activity providers who follow good safety management practices. AALS carries out inspections and makes sure centres that offer higher risk activities (like activities that take place on water) are meeting higher safety standards. And keeping young people as safe as possible. To view a copy of our AALS certificate, please click on the link here. Find out more at the AALA website.

Adventuremark

The Adventuremark shows that our risk management arrangements have been inspected and found to meet standards of good practice in the adventure activity industry. To view a copy of our Adventuremark certificate, please click on the link here. Find out more on the Adventuremark site.

British Canoeing Silver Delivery Partner

British Canoeing Delivery Partners have engaged and are committed to providing clients with a first class paddling experience that embraces learning and development, delivering fun, engaging and safe activities that are aligned with your requirements. Find out more on the BCU site.

The Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge

This nationally recognised badge is awarded to organisations who provide good learning opportunities outside the classroom and manage risk effectively. To view a copy of our LOTC certificate, please click on the link here. Find out more at the LOTC website.

Risk assessments

Our trained staff perform regular health and safety inspections and we have risk assessments available for all the activities we offer. These risk assessments are living documents, meaning that they’re regularly revised and updated to adapt to new legislation and guidelines.

Our latest risk assessments can be found here.
