The Friends of Blackland Farm play a vital role in the ongoing success of the site.

Our history

The Friends of Blackland Farm was formed in 1959 by a group who wished to give back to their much-loved campsite. The weather vane on top of the main office building was commissioned by the Friends to mark the long service of their first President, Catharine Scott. Look out for the owl-shaped weather vane on your next visit.

The Friends arrange several annual gatherings at Blackland Farm with opportunities to give service, socialise and raise funds for additions to the camp site. At other time Friends help with tasks such as serving in the shop during activity days and special events.

Becoming a Friend is a great way to support Blackland and keep in touch with what’s going on. If you’d like to join, fill in the Friends of Blackland Farm application form and send it to the address on the form.
