The Friends of Blackland Farm play a vital role in the ongoing success of the site. As well as fundraising, they organise an annual party, help in the shop at busy times and enjoy a social weekend during their Annual General Meeting.
Each spring they make a heroic effort to clean and prepare the equipment for the new camping season. Something for which we are forever grateful!
The Friends of Blackland Farm was formed in 1959 by a group who wished to give back to their much-loved campsite. The weather vane on top of the main office building was commissioned by the Friends to mark the long service of their first President, Catharine Scott. Look out for the owl-shaped weather vane on your next visit.
