Wander through beautiful woodlands and explore the great outdoors with our range of walks and nature trails that take you all around the site. We have a number of courses and maps available so ask us for details.
Trails and orienteering sessions are self-led – you’ll be given all the information you need on the day, and no previous experience is needed. If you would like a member of our team to lead your session, for an additional charge, just get in touch.
If you are visiting Glenbrook in the Peak District, local walks within the valley are level 1, so no qualification is necessary but we can provide an instructor with local knowledge. Those looking for something more challenging such as a stroll up Win Hill or Mam Tor, this requires a Walking Scheme Level 2 qualification. If you do not hold the qualification, we have instructors available for the session.
Rain and bad weather won’t stop play – you might get muddy so don’t wear anything you’d mind getting dirty. If there is rain forecast, you might want to bring a change of clothes. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes, with shorts or trousers, and closed-toe shoes.
We can work with you to make this activity accessible for different abilities and needs. Please contact the centre to talk about any accessibility requirements.
Girlguiding members can find out more about the walking scheme on the Girlguiding website by visiting www.girlguiding.org.uk and searching for the walking scheme.
