General information

Learn how to paddle your own kayak with a double-ended paddle in our beginner sessions, or enrol on an improver course to build up your skills.

Our qualified instructors will get you working together to learn how to move your kayak around the water, then take part in a range of games and challenges to perfect your skills. A perfect activity for team-building with your group.

Sessions are run by our qualified activity instructors – they’ll keep you safe and adapt the session to suit the group, doing their best to help everyone enjoy the challenge. No experience is necessary as our instructors will teach you everything you need to know.

All specialist equipment is provided. Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting wet – you’ll be on, and maybe in, the water! We recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel for after the session.

Kayaking runs seasonally and is available April-October.

We can work with you to make this activity accessible for different abilities and needs. Please contact the centre to talk about any accessibility requirements.

Want to learn more about kayaking? Talk to one of our centres about our Paddle start courses.

Please note: The minimum age for kayaking at Foxlease is 7+.
