Teams must work together to build a tower of crates that supports two participants on top. The higher the tower, the more it wobbles! This popular and fun activity encourages team working and helps individuals improve their balance and coordination.
Crate challenge sessions are run by qualified activity instructors – they’ll keep you safe and adapt the session to suit the group, doing their best to help everyone enjoy the activity.
No experience is necessary as our instructors will teach you everything you need to know.
All specialist equipment is provided, but you’ll need to wear trousers and closed-toe shoes that won’t slip off. We recommend trainers or walking boots.
Crate challenge sessions will continue to run in the rain so it’s best to be prepared! In extreme circumstances, for example high winds or lightning, the instructor may stop the activity for safety reasons.
We can work with you to make this activity accessible for different abilities and needs. Please contact the centre to talk about any accessibility requirements.
