We have indoor and outdoor climbing facilities for people of all ages and abilities. Learn the basics with a qualified instructor or book the ultimate abseiling and climbing experience if you’re feeling confident.
For those looking for a more exhilarating climbing experience, our Glenbrook activity centre delivers this session on a real Peak District rock face just a few miles down the road.
Our climbing sessions are run by qualified activity instructors – they’ll keep you safe and adapt the session to suit the group, doing their best to help everyone enjoy the activity.
No experience is necessary as our instructors will teach you everything you need to know.
All specialist equipment is provided, but you’ll need to wear trousers and closed-toe shoes that won’t slip off. We recommend trainers or walking boots.
Both indoor and outdoor climbing sessions will continue to run in the rain so it’s best to be prepared! In extreme circumstances, for example high winds or lightning, the instructor may stop the activity for safety reasons.
We can work with you to make this activity accessible for different abilities and needs. Please contact the centre to talk about any accessibility requirements.
*Please note, maximum group size at Glenbrook is 8 people and up to 2 hours and participants will need to organise their own transport.
Girlguiding members can find out more about the climbing scheme on the Girlguiding website by visiting www.girlguiding.org.uk and searching for the climbing scheme.
